About
Industrial CAD Works is a SolidWorks mechanical design studio. The work is the conversion of a concept or of as-built geometry into fabrication and manufacturing ready models, drawings, and visuals.
Design is done in SolidWorks, with KeyShot used for presentation. Models are built for the process that will make them: weldments and sheet metal for fabrication, machined features for CNC, assemblies that can be fitted in the field. When existing equipment must govern the new design, captured geometry is held in the model as a constraint and new structure is designed to that constraint.
The studio prepares files for shop use and, when a stamp is required, for review by a licensed professional engineer. Industrial CAD Works does not offer professional engineering services.
Approach
The model is not finished until it can be built. Hardware, setup, and operation sequence are treated as part of the design, not as problems for someone else to solve later. Structured review is used to test intent and to strip complexity that the shop does not need. Industrial CAD Works handles the release, from first article through the final drawing package.
Work is taken from first article through drawing package. Production volume and stamped analysis, when required, are handled outside the studio.
